December Visa Bulletin Now Available: Modest Advancement for Vietnam Born Applicants

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, December 2020 Visa Bulletin (View PDF) is now available. The bulletin highlights a modest advancement on the EB-5 final action date for Vietnam born applicants while no change for Mainland-China born applicants due to the continued closure of the consulate office in Guangzhou. 

FINAL ACTION DATES (CHART A)

The December Visa Bulletin revealed the following final action dates for EB-5 visa applicants:

  • Mainland-China: August 15, 2015 (Unchanged from the November Visa Bulletin);
  • Vietnam: September 1, 2017 (2.5 weeks advancement from the November Visa Bulletin); and
  • All Other Countries: Remain Current;

DATES FOR FILING (CHART B)

The dates for filing of the EB-5 visa category on the December Visa Bulletin remain unchanged from the November Bulletin. USCIS continues to allow employment-based green card applicants (including EB-5) to use dates for filing from the Chart B on the December Visa Bulletin to apply for adjustment of status.
