Description
In 2022, the passage of the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA) reinvigorated EB-5 and promised big changes for the program. In 2023, we saw those changes in action, along with greater clarity on how the RIA will be interpreted. As we approach the two-year mark since the RIA, what have we learned about how the RIA’s provisions have affected EB-5 and what that means for the future of the program?
At a unique online event on February 14, a panel of industry experts will sift through the data from 2023 and share their predictions for 2024 and beyond, addressing some of the biggest questions that arose from the RIA’s passage and some that have yet to be determined, including:
- How did EB-5 fare in 2023? Has activity returned to pre-RIA levels?
- Will U.S. and global economic conditions change who is investing in EB-5 in 2024?
- Will EB-5 investment increase this year? Decrease? Stay the same?
- Will EB-5 wait times go up or down in 2024?
- What will happen with reserved EB-5 visa categories? Are they in danger of “filling up?”
- How have Regional Centers adapted to the RIA’s integrity measures?
- Have 2023 bank failures changed the way issuers approach EB-5 banking?
- What do we know about how USCIS is evaluating annual GAAP audits?
- How can we get better communication from USCIS on RIA provisions still lacking in clarity?
Issuers, investors, agents, and anyone involved with EB-5 can benefit from our expert panel’s insights into the current state of EB-5. Register now to reserve your space!
