Earlier this week, IIUSA was invited to speak at “RIA: EB-5 Industry Experts Help You Prepare for New Changes” – an industry event hosted by IIUSA members JTC America and Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP. The one-day event brought together EB-5 industry stakeholders from across the country to Miami, FL, discussing updates resulting from the new EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (“RIA”) and sharing new ideas to boost industry best practices and compliance under the new legislation.
IIUSA Executive Director Aaron Grau moderated a panel titled, “State of the EB-5 Industry” to kick-off the event. IIUSA Director of Policy Research & Data Analytics Lee Li presented at a lightning session to offer his insights on the new reserved visa rules and to discuss how RIA changed the process of EB-5 visa allocation. In addition, IIUSA President Robert Kraft (FirstPathway Partners) served as a keynote speaker during the luncheon and participated on the panel, “The Impact of EB-5” where he shared his experience of how EB-5 has stimulated positive economic development in various communities in the U.S.
IIUSA was proud to have its Board of Directors further represented by Eren Cicekdagi (Golden Gate Global) and Roberto Contreras IV (Houston EB-5) as speakers at the event.
The RIA has brought substantial changes to the EB-5 Program and as the industry’s national trade association, IIUSA will continue to engage with our members, inform the EB-5 community, and promote industry education and business development in the new era of EB-5.
