IIUSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Ozzie F. Torres, Esq., Founder and Managing Partner of Torres Law, as the association’s Special Counsel on EB-5 Program Securities Compliance & Reauthorization. Ozzie will be providing this service to IIUSA on a pro-bono basis, and we are deeply grateful for his generosity and commitment to the industry.
In his new role, Ozzie will advise IIUSA on how to properly communicate about and structure its Adjustment of Status (AOS) events in 2026 and beyond, ensuring that the association and its event participants remain fully compliant with SEC rules governing the discussion and promotion of regional center projects. As IIUSA works to bring critical information to AOS applicants and create meaningful opportunities for its members to participate in those events, having expert securities counsel guiding that effort is essential. Ozzie’s expertise will help IIUSA navigate those compliance requirements with confidence.
Ozzie brings more than 35 years of sophisticated transactional experience to the role. A veteran of Greenberg Traurig in Miami and Schulte Roth & Zabel in New York, he also served as General Counsel to Telemundo Group, Inc. and HBO Latin America Group before founding Torres Law to deliver that same caliber of counsel. Ozzie currently serves as Editorial Committee Chair of the IIUSA Regional Center Business Journal.
