October Visa Bulletin: EB-5 Vis Category Now “Unauthorized” for Issuance

09.17.18 | Archived

Last week, U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs published the October  Visa Bulletin (View PDF). The EB-5 Regional Center category has been listed as “U” meaning unauthorized for issuance.

The final action dates for the EB-5 regional center category has been listed as unavailable as a result of the upcoming “sunset date” of September 30, 2018 for the regional center program  When there is legislative action reauthorizing the EB-5 Program all final action dates would immediately become “Current” for all countries except mainland-china, which would be subject to an August 15, 2015 final action date and Vietnam, which would be subject to a January 1, 2016 final action date.

IIUSA staff is hard at work on Capitol Hill working to ensure that the EB-5 Program receives an extension prior to the pending sunset. Should you have any questions regarding IIUSA advocacy efforts please do not hesitate to contact us at advocacy@iiusa.org.
