How do we know that EB-5 is Working for America?
One way to understand the impact of EB-5 investment to the U.S. economy is by looking at the cold hard facts of IIUSA’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 peer-reviewed economic impact study: the EB-5 Regional Center Program (“the Program”) contributed $2.0 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) to various projects throughout the U.S., contributed $3.58 billion to U.S. GDP and supporting over 41,000 jobs.
Another way we can gauge the true impact of EB-5 investment is by listening and understanding the stories of Americans who have benefited – and are employed – as a result of EB-5 capital flows into the U.S. economy. In the video below, an American based in Washington state tells the story of how he found a job and better life for his family thanks to the EB-5 Program. Living through the structural changes in the economy and affected by loss of his manufacturing job, this man found a new career in trucking. Thanks to IIUSA President K. David Andersson’s Green Truck EB-5 Program, he found a new livelihood thanks to EB-5 financed environmentally compliant trucks.
