On Tuesday, February 2 the Senate voted to confirm Alejandro Mayorkas to lead the Department of Homeland Security. He was confirmed by a 56-43 vote
Mr. Mayorkas was previously the deputy DHS secretary in the Obama administration and DHS, among many other things, has direct oversight of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) through which the EB-5 Program is administered. IIUSA looks forward to working with Mr. Mayorkas to address ongoing processing delays and other considerations at United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
