The U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs has published the October 2019 Visa Bulletin (View PDF). The EB-5 Regional Center category has been listed as “U” meaning unauthorized for issuance.
The final action dates for the EB-5 Regional Center category has been listed as unauthorized for issuance as a result of the upcoming “sunset date” of September 30, 2019. When there is legislative action reauthorizing the EB-5 Program all final action dates would immediately become “current” for all countries not currently subject to a backlog (Mainland-China, Vietnam and India).
Earlier this year, IIUSA hosted a Mid-Year Legislative & Association Update webinar with IIUSA leaders, lobbyists and staff. The webinar provided attendees with an important opportunity to learn more about the sate of the association and importantly the steps already underway to secure a long-term reauthorization and reform of the EB-5 Program.
