The Center for Real Estate Finance Research at New York University’s Stern School of Business recently produced an updated draft version of a study titled, “A Roadmap to the Use of EB-5 Capital: An Alternative Financing Tool for Commercial Real Estate Projects.” The updated versionincludes an appendix showing a sample EB-5 mezzanine loan structure and terms.
Researched and written by professor Jeanne Calderon and Gary Freidland, the paper is a working draft intended to stimulate conversation and comments are welcome (send comments to [email protected] ).
The paper is divided into two sections. The first section provides background on the EB- 5 immigration process. The second section explains the key features of EB-5 capital and its role in current projects.
NY Stern CREFR EB-5 Summit- March 27, 2015
