The 2023 IIUSA EB-5 Passport Series concluded last week with two great events in Nigeria. We were greeted in Abuja by a full room of industry professionals and prospective investors and in Lagos to a packed house of enthusiastic and informed attendees. The final two events of IIUSA’s 2023 Passport Series were the 13th and 14th of the year – far and away the most events annually by any industry organization. We are proud that every event IIUSA hosted this year offered quality opportunities for everyone involved. With such great energy in Nigeria, it seems we saved the best events for last!
Passport Series’ success is predicated on three principles:
- Support of trusted local partners;
- Contributions of our members and sponsors; and
- IIUSA’s approach to foreign markets, i.e. the association’s dedication to educational formats and our unique code of conduct.
This year in Nigeria we were again honored to have the support of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and BraveIcons Global (BIG). Mr. Fife Banks, BIG’s CEO, and his team of dedicated staff ensured every IIUSA member had a successful (and enjoyable!) trip to Nigeria. BIG set the stage for a week of networking and business development and helped assure that IIUSA’s educational messaging reached an even wider audience through social media and a live television interview with IIUSA Executive Director, Aaron Grau.
We were also very pleased to engage with insightful and vocal audiences in Abuja and Lagos. Event attendees came prepared with informed questions and a willingness to dialogue with our educational panels that raised the events’ discourses and proved the viability and interest of the Nigerian EB-5 market.
IIUSA Director of Events and Business Development, McKenzie Penton stated, “IIUSA events continue to set the gold standard in education and with events in more cities and countries than anyone else, the association has firmly positioned itself and its members as the leaders of the EB-5 community.”
While we are taking a brief holiday break, the EB-5 Event Passport Series will be back in 2024. As we work to improve on every Passport Series event IIUSA hosts, next year’s international stops promise to be better than ever as IIUSA connects EB-5 stakeholders around the world.
