The last two years have been a trying time as the industry has endured 11 short-term reauthorizations and countless rounds of legislative debate while awaiting legislation that would give the Program long-term certainty and reform. With the re-opening of the government after a brief shutdown earlier this week, the EB-5 Program is once again faced with a short-term reauthorization deadline of February 8 and the corresponding industry angst. Although Republican negotiators on EB-5 are closer than ever to finding agreement internally, there are still bipartisan negotiations that need to occur. Rest assured that all of us at IIUSA are working hard as your advocate with boots on the ground on Capitol Hill having regular conversations with the legislative offices most closely working on our issue.
