IIUSA will host a free webinar on Thursday, June 30 at 2:00pm ET to discuss the ruling by the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California that granted a preliminary injunction on U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services’ (USCIS) interpretation of the EB-5 Reform & Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA) requires all previously designated EB-5 Regional Centers to re-designate under the new law.
Last Friday, June 24, U.S. District Court Judge Vince Chhabria ruled that USCIS is “preliminarily enjoined from treating as deauthorized the previously designated regional centers based on its almost certainly erroneous interpretation of the Integrity Act. Of course, the agency may do whatever is reasonably necessary to ensure that existing regional centers comply with the Integrity Act, but those centers must presently be permitted to operate within the regime of the Act.”
Registration for IIUSA’s webinar is FREE and open to all EB-5 stakeholders, but you must register to attend. You can do so on through this event page.
Please note that if you are not registered, you will not be able to attend the event live, but it will be recorded.
IIUSA Executive Director Aaron Grau will moderate a discussion with IIUSA counsel Ron Klasko and Paul Hughes who have represented IIUSA and five other Regional Center members on a separate lawsuit on the same matter.
