On October 5, Invest in the USA (IIUSA) and its partner the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry were honored to host over 100 attendees at the Shangri-La Dubai for the most recent event in the association’s EB-5 Event Passport Series.
The event is the association’s first in the UAE since 2019 but most certainly not the last. With a strong local interest in the EB-5 Program as well as large ex-pat communities making Dubai home, the city is the perfect setting for a large-scale gathering of investors and industry professionals alike.
During the event, guests heard important updates on the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act as well as the recent litigation settlement between U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and industry stakeholders, including IIUSA. Both the reauthorization and the settlement agreement were strongly supported by IIUSA’s advocacy work and it was exciting to not only provide guests with updates, but also to celebrate the industry’s return to business.
The event was supported by 14 sponsors making it one of the largest events in the 2022 EB-5 Passport Series and we are, as always, grateful for the support of our members, speakers, and partners who made the event possible. The next stop for the Passport Series is Abu Dhabi, October 7-8, as part of the Citizenship by Investment Expo. Our 2022 Series will conclude later in the month with events in Cape Town South Africa, Abuja, Nigeria, and finally Mexico City.
