Yesterday, April 30, USCIS published the quarterly statistics for Q1, FY2025, including the latest data on pre-RIA I-526 cases as well as post-RIA I-526E and I-526 petitions in the first quarter of a new fiscal year. The latest data sheds light on trends in EB-5 demand, capital raising, case processing, and the backlog.
Our key takeaways from the latest data release include:
- I-526E case filings in Q1 continued to increase in the new fiscal year, reflecting a 32% growth from Q4 FY2024.
- The productivity of adjudicating I-526E and pre-RIA I-526 cases slowed during Q1 FY2025. Only 202 I-526E petitions were processed, a decline of 49% from the previous quarter, while pre-RIA I-526 case adjudications also saw a 39% quarterly decrease.
- The approval rate for I-526E cases continued to remain high in Q1 FY2025 (over 95%), while only 75% of pre-RIA I-526 cases were approved during the first quarter of the new fiscal year.
