As Director – EB-5 Program and Investor Relations, your core responsibility will be to establish and grow our company’s profile and presence within the EB-5 community of professionals and prospective investors in international markets. You will be the key point person in helping the company raise investment capital for its commercial real estate developments. The right person will be a self-starter who is bright, creative, detail oriented and forward-thinking, who demonstrates poise under pressure, and can excel in a high-performance environment. The right candidate will have a track record of successful project management and demonstrate strong interpersonal relationship and management skills. Someone who can operate both independently and collaboratively will be highly valued.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead management of resources and facilitate the capital raising process by coordinating with securities attorneys, business plan writers, economists, sponsors, and fund administrators.
- Lead in the establishment and growth of networks for new EB-5 investor sourcing throughout current and emerging target markets.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members in presenting real estate investment opportunities to prospective investors interested in an EB-5 visa.
- Gather, analyze, and identify market trends, opportunities, and insights leveraging quantitative and qualitative domestic and international market data.
- Possess fluency and stay current with the EB-5 program’s strict legal requirements as promulgated via the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA). Evaluate current or proposed investment offerings and collaborate with SPI’s management team and legal counsel to ensure offerings fully comply with the RIA requirements.
- Build and sustain relationships with foreign partners, agents, and immigration attorneys.
- Arrange and lead domestic and international trips involving seminars and speaking engagements, including but not limited to speaking at US and international roadshows.
- Develop marketing strategy including content creation and digital marketing strategies.
- Maintain investor database and communication records in Juniper Square and other systems as directed by SPI.
- Track investor filing and visa approval status. Provide periodic reports to SPI management summarizing status of investor approvals across SPI’s investor database.
- Provide ongoing investor support before and after their investment. Direct the firm’s overall investor relations effort. Collaborate with existing staff to respond to incoming questions and correspondence from current or past investors.
- Working with immigration counsel, maintain regional center and securities filing and reporting compliance (i.e., FORM D; 956K; 956H; etc.).
- Other duties as defined.
- Reports to the company president.
Qualifications
- Highly disciplined, organized, and detail oriented.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Tech savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with Juniper Square a plus
- Ability to learn rapidly and enthusiastically; a demonstrated interest in seeking out and/or using new tools and technologies.
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment; the ability to anticipate needs and react quickly.
- International work experience highly valued
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to travel internationally on a regular basis required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in this position.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate investments preferred
- Experience in project management and investor/client relations preferred.
- Multilingual proficiency – both written and oral.
