Association plans for upcoming international event in San Francisco
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 26, 2014
The Association to Invest in the USA (IIUSA), the national not-for-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program (the “program”), will hold its 4th annual EB-5 Market Exchange, an international investment and development forum, in San Francisco, Calif. from October 22nd to the 24th. There, EB-5 professionals from around the globe will gather to network, discuss infrastructure and development opportunities in the U.S., and learn about trending topics from leading experts on immigration and investment.
The 2014 event is expected to top last year’s conference in Las Vegas with over 700 attendees, 49 exhibitors, and 28 sponsors. Guests will be treated to an action-packed agenda with three days of exhibiting, four keynote speakers and eight keynote panels, 10 “breakout sessions” and two entertainment-packed evening receptions.
IIUSA’s esteemed Guest of Honor, the Hon. Gary Locke, former Ambassador to China, will address the packed conference on Thursday afternoon. Previously the Governor of the State of Washington and Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Ambassador Locke’s experience with the China market, American business, and perspective from both a local and global viewpoint will provide attendees with an insightful and valuable address for the EB-5 industry.
“With the help of our members, event sponsors, the forum committee and other EB-5 stakeholders, IIUSA will invite international partners to join this conference in kicking off a tour of EB-5 project site visits in the U.S.,” said Mr. Peter Joseph, Executive Director of IIUSA. “We believe there is immense power in having all corners of the industry come together under one roof to build relationships around collective knowledge. We place special focus on due diligence and best practices, followed by office and project site visits, seizing the rare opportunity this conference presents – sharing experiences and insight with partners.”
Additionally, there will be a special “kick-off” event which will allow attendees to see the beautiful San Francisco landscape in style and celebrate the coming together of old and new friends. Host city sponsors and other local members will be offering tours and special events to attendees to bring the EB-5 Program to life through project site visits and local fare.
With only a year between now and the sunset date of the Program, IIUSA will make advocacy a focal point of this event. The conference will serve as a perfect opportunity to engage the wide network of EB-5 supporters, and work together toward permanent authorization. An Advocacy Center will be set up within the conference, allowing attendees to use IIUSA’s Legislative Action Center on-site to send letters to their members of Congress. This earns them an “EB-5 is Working” pin, signifying they are an active advocate and encourages their peers to take action too.
Registration for the EB-5 International Forum will end October 6th. To learn more about exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities for these upcoming IIUSA events, visit the conference registration page.
