Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 24th, the final EB-5 program regulations are scheduled to be published in the Federal Register. The new rule goes into effect on November 21st.
IIUSA will be monitoring the regulation’s final steps and fully evaluating the text. We wanted to provide this important update before we have had a chance to analyze the final rule in full. We will provide our members with a detailed analysis shortly.
Please keep in mind that given the 120-day window before the regulations are effective, our program may be reauthorized with new and positive reforms making the new regulations moot vis-à-vis a (new) reauthorization statute.
Of note, the final rule increases investment amounts from $500,000 and $1,000,000 to $900,000 and $1,800,000 respectively.
