Form I-829 Case Filings:
- In FY2023, USCIS received 1,170 I-829 petitions, marking a 9% decline year over year.
Form I-829 Case Adjudications:

USCIS processed a total of 2,040 I-829 cases in FY2023. The agency’s productivity in adjudicating I-829 petitions rebounded from the 10-year low in FY2022 but remained below the average level.
Form I-829 Case Approval Rate:
- With the approval rate of I-829 cases dropping to 85% in the fourth quarter, the overall approval rate in FY2023 is 87%.
Form I-829 Case Backlog:

As of September 30, 2023 (the end of FY2023), a total of 9,989 I-829 cases were still pending at USCIS.
