This comprehensive report analyzes the trends of I-829 case filings, adjudications, average approval rates, and the current I-829 case backlog at USCIS.

KEY DATA HIGHLIGHTS
Form I-829 Case Filings:
- In the first three quarters of FY2023, USCIS received 917 I-829 petitions, reflecting a 24% year-over-year decline.
Form I-829 Case Adjudications:

A total of 1,257 I-829 cases were adjudicated during the first three quarters of FY2023. Among them, 474 I-829 petitions were processed in Q3, marking it USCIS’ most productive quarter in FY2023.
Form I-829 Case Approval Rate:
- In the first three quarters of FY2023, USCIS approved 89% of the I-829 petitions that were processed.
Form I-829 Case Backlog:

As of the end of Q3 FY2023 (June 30, 2023), a total of 10,507 I-829 cases were still pending at USCIS.
