Form I-829 Adjudication Highlights:
Filings
467 EB-5 investors filed their I-829 petitions in Q4, FY2018, a drop of over 50% from the previous quarter. However, the number of I‐829 filed in FY2018 was the highest level in the EB‐5 Program’s history – 3,283 investors filed their I‐829 petitions in FY2018 with a growth of 25% year‐over‐year
Adjudications
USCIS completed nearly 750 I‐829 adjudications, 57% more than the previous quarter.
Approvals
n FY2018, over 2,700 I‐829 petitions were approved by USCIS. In other words more than 2,700 qualified investors in the last year successfully met the job creation requirement and hence were able to receive their permanent U.S. residency.
Denials
The number of I‐829 denials remained relatively low level ‐ only 20 I‐829 petitions were denied in Q4 FY2018 and 104 I‐829 petitions were denied in the entire year of FY2018.
