Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA), in Partnership with IIUSA, Announce a 2-Day Intro to EB-5 Finance Webcourse for April 28-29

For the third consecutive year, IIUSA will serve as course advisor for the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) Intro the EB-5 Finance Course, to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday April 28-29 from 12-5pm EST. The Intro EB-5 Finance WebCourse examines the basic statutes and regulations governing the EB-5 Program. Topics covered include direct EB-5 vs. EB-5 Regional Center programs, minimum investment requirements, securities regulations, and business plans and economic reports.

Day one of the course will examined the basic statutes and regulations governing the EB-5 program, such as its origins and history, EB-5 immigration laws, relevant securities law and finding EB-5 investors. Day two will focus more on the practical application of the EB-5 program for the purposes of economic development. This will include panels on working with Regional Centers, EB-5 as a component of the capital stack, case studies, and EB-5 trends and developments.

In 2013, CDFA, in partnership with IIUSA, hosted a successful two-day 10-hour EB-5 web course in which 90 webinar attendees participated in the interactive webinar series, most of whom were local economic development professionals from around the country. the course was held in Washington DC.

In August 2014, CDFA held a two-day in-person Intro the EB-5 seminar in concert with CDFA’s summer school program in Washington, DC. Aside from EB-5, CDFA facilitated introductions to other development finance tools such as tax credit financing, brownfields finance and revolving loan funds. Register Today!
