Earlier today, Congress passed a short-term continuing resolution (CR) funding the federal government through December 20, 2019. Not only does the CR prevent a government shutdown, it also extends the EB-5 Program’s authorization. The CR now awaits President Trump’s signature.
The CR is welcome news for the EB-5 Industry as it looks to continue to provide vital economic development for communities across the country. It also ensures additional time for IIUSA and its industry partners to continue to advocate for long-term legislative reform and reauthorization of the EB-5 Regional Center Program.
EB-5 Regulations Also Take Effect
Also today, the final rule which makes regulatory changes to the EB-5 Regional Center Program went into effect after the 120 waiting period of the final rule being published. The final rule, which can be read in its entirety here, makes several changes to the program. Read More.
