On Monday, October 30, 2023, the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) Ombudsman’s Office and U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) held a joint webinar addressing topics related to the EB-5 Program. Specifically, the engagement was meant to address recent Policy Manual updates and other clarified guidance that was published by USCIS in recent weeks.

- Treatment of investors tied to terminated regional centers
Gary Merson from the Ombudsman’s Office moderated the presentation with Alissa Emmel, Chief of the Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO). The acting CIS Ombudsman, Nathan Stiefel, also made short remarks.
