USCIS California Service Center recently updated its processing times of I-526 petitions on its website. Petitions submitted on or before March 16, 2012 are just now being adjudicated, one year after their submission to USCIS. As you know, IIUSA is collecting WAC#’s (receipt numbers) of I-526 petitions to break this backlog.

In an effort to alleviate the serious backlog of I-526 petition processing, IIUSA is collecting WAC#’s of backlogged petitions and intends to articulate these delays in terms of the economic impact that is being unnecessarily halted by these delays. In other words, we are going to use the data we collect to describe the delays in terms of lost capital formation and resulting U.S. job creation – at no cost to the taxpayer.
