Andrew Davidson Appointed to Serve as Deputy Director and Acting Director of USCIS
On Jan. 31, 2025, President Donald Trump appointed Andrew J. Davidson as Deputy Director and Acting Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), effective Feb. 9.
Davidson has held various roles within the U.S. immigration system since 1997, and he has held key leadership positions within USCIS since 2011. These roles have included overseeing humanitarian programs such as asylum, as well as serving in the Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate and the Immigration Records and Identity Services Directorate.
IIUSA will continue to work with USCIS leadership to advocate for policies that support a strong and sustainable EB-5 ecosystem. We look forward to working with Deputy Director Davidson and his team to ensure clarity, efficiency, and transparency in the administration of the EB-5 program.
