From the Organizers
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is comprised of 285 members, many of whom practice U.S. immigration law overseas in the APAC region (China, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, Australia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc.)
Since 2013, the APAC Chapter has organized annual conferences in the APAC region so that its members can come together to learn from one another and engage with high-ranking U.S. officials from multiple agencies including the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Past conferences were held in Bangkok, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Chennai/New Delhi, Hong Kong/Guangzhou, and Taipei. In 2021, the annual conference was held virtually with a geo location in Sydney, Australia. In 2022, the annual conference was held in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We are pleased to announce that the APAC Chapter will be hosting its 10th annual conference in Tokyo, Japan from May 11-12, 2023 at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo. Topics will include:
