Since the recession, the federal EB-5 immigrant investor visa program has skyrocketed in popularity, propelled by a regional center program providing potential avenues for funding high-value public and private infrastructure projects. Responsible for an increasing number of important civic projects and the creation of thousands of jobs, the EB-5 program has also come under fire for being susceptible to fraud, easily manipulated, and in need of serious reform.

As the clock ticks toward the program’s expiration at the end of September without congressional action, join BPC on September 17 for a panel discussion on the successes, challenges and opportunities for states and localities funding infrastructure and other high-priority projects, often in economically distressed areas.
