The U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration is hosting the first-ever 2013 SelectUSA Investment Summit to facilitate connecting investors, both foreign and domestic, with US economic development organizations to promote direct investment in the United States. IIUSA Vice President, Robert Divine, will be speaking at the Washington D.C. event on a panel titled “Exploring Capital Availability in the United States: A Discussion of the United States’ Deep and Expansive Capital Markets.” His presentation is scheduled for Friday, November 1st from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
This two day event will take place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. on October 31 – November 1, 2013. IIUSA Executive Director, Peter D. Joseph, will be attending the event to ensure EB-5 gets proper attention as a source of foreign direct investment (FDI) and capital formation. This event is open to all FDI professionals who are interested in taking part in the ongoing discussion of how to maximize the benefits of FDI within United States economic development. The event is by no means exclusive to EB-5, but the Program will be an important topic in the general discussion. Business leaders from around the world and U.S. government officials – including cabinet level speakers from the Obama Administration, will serve as speakers on various topics related to FDI.
Members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Summit offers opportunities to connect with foreign and domestic investors, senior Administration officials, and state and local officials. In addition, you will learn how to more effectively identify, target, and execute your investment strategy through unique networking opportunities, moderated panels on the latest investment trends and sector analysis, and information about investment-related resources in the U.S.
