AILA & IIUSA EB-5 Industry Forum Delivers Education, Business Development and Key Industry Intelligence

Last week, IIUSA and AILA welcomed the EB-5 industry to Chicago for the annual EB-5 Industry Forum, which brought together nearly 350 industry leaders for 2+ days of networking, business development and most importantly education.

The event featured 20 panels on some of the industry’s hottest topics, including EB-5 best practices, international investor market trends, litigation, regulatory & legislative reform and much more.

We were also honored to welcome the new Chief of the Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO) at USCIS, Ms. Sarah M. Kendall, and Chief of the Visa Control Office at the U.S. Department of State, Mr. Charles Oppenheim, as our keynote speakers. Both Ms. Kendall and Mr. Oppenheim provided attendees with critical intel from their respective agencies. Mr. Oppenheim provided attendees with his predictions on visa numbers and retrogression – what many see as the most valuable information to the industry right now. The panel’s powerpoint slides can be found here and a full analysis of his presentation can be reviewed here.

While industry education is always a cornerstone for any IIUSA event, we are also confident that the conference delivered our attendees world class networking and business development opportunities. We of course must thank our 30 sponsor organizations who ensured the exhibit hall was lively, the reception fun and most importantly whose contributions ensured IIUSA was able to once again deliver a excellent event for our members, international guests and other industry stakeholders.

To help our attendees wrap up this successful event (or to see what you missed out on!), please review the resources below. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming 2019 IIUSA event.
