IIUSA is pleased to announce that Kathy Nuebel Kovarik, Chief, Office of Policy and Strategy, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) will address attendees of the upcoming EB-5 Advocacy Conference during a special luncheon session on Monday, April 23.
Ms. Nuebel Kovarik joins a slate of keynote speakers and panelists who will ensure that the 11th Annual Advocacy Conference is once again the premier educational event of the EB-5 calendar year.
As Chief of the Office of Policy and Strategy, Ms. Nuebel Kovarik brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and will be able to provide attendees with critical insights on the state of pending EB-5 Regulations as well as offering her perspective on other important agency developments.
Prior to her role with USCIS, Ms. Nuebel Kovarik worked for the U.S. Senate for more than 17 years, most recently as professional staff on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary under Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa. During that time, she worked on all immigration legislation, including proposals focused on E-Verify, H-1B visas and EB-5 reform.
Before moving to the Judiciary Committee, she served in Senator Grassley’s personal office, working on an array of policy issues, including immigration, financial services, foster care, adoption, public health, welfare and appropriations.
