On October 5, 2017, Lee Francis Cissna was confirmed by the U.S. Senate with a vote of 54-43. Mr. Cissna who is a longtime immigration attorney at the Homeland Security was also on detail for the Senate Judiciary Committee and Chairman, Chuck Grassley since 2015.
It has been reported that upon Mr. Cissna’s confirmation that EB-5 regulations will continue to move forward, making it incumbent upon the EB-5 industry to support negotiations for a legislative solution to reauthorize the Regional Center Program.
