June has been a busy month so far for IIUSA staff as they have traveled near and far promoting the important economic development carried out everyday thanks to the EB-5 Regional Center Program.
Earlier this month, IIUSA Executive Director, Peter D. Joseph, traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the second annual Investment Migration Forum where he hosted a Q&A roundtable session on the EB-5 Program and also spoke on a panel titled “The EB-5 Program in the Age of Trump.” During the panel, Mr. Joseph reiterated to attendees the important role they play in promoting globally integrated and open economies which act as a counter to isolationist trends currently sweeping the globe.
Closer to home, IIUSA staff represented the EB-5 industry at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland right outside of the nation’s Capital. Now in its fourth year, the Summit is the premier event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment in the United States. IIUSA staff attended the event to help promote the important economic development and job creation taking place across the country thanks to the EB-5 Regional Center Program.
Looking ahead to the next few months IIUSA will continue to participate in industry events around the world to promote the EB-5 Regional Center Program and to advocate for program reform and reauthorization ahead of the September 30th “sunset” date. Global Mobility & Tax Strategies Conference

Next week, IIUSA President Bob Kraft will participate on behalf of IIUSA in the Global Mobility & Tax Strategies Europe conference in London (June 26-27). The event will bring together leading government officials and tax and immigration specialists to compare and explore new and emerging opportunities for UK and Europe’s high net worth individuals (HNWI) to manage their investments. The event will offer attendees access to the most updated information on the global investor market, intelligence on the latest trends driving HNWI interest and also the latest development in Common Reporting Standard (SRS) and key tax strategies for the globally mobile, while providing a platform for a comprehensive array of investment immigration programs from around the world.
On Monday, June 26, Mr. Kraft will take the stage to participate on a panel titled “The Current State and Future Outlook for the EB-5 Program,” which will highlight the state of EB-5 legislation, reform efforts and other updates on the Program. Mr. Kraft will be joined by IIUSA Members Michael Homeier (Homeier Law PC), Robert Cornish (Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP), and Winnie Ng (Manhattan Regional Center).
Mountain View Chamber of Commerce: Employment Visa Engagement Event

The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) announced that it plans to host an Employment Visa Engagement in San Jose on July 19th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The one-day event will feature federal government stakeholders from the U.S. Department of State, Department of Labor and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
IIUSA Director, Ginny Fang, CEO, Golden Gate Global will be in attendance to represent IIUSA at this important stakeholder event. 2017 San Francisco EB-5 & Investment Immigration Conference

EB5 Investors Magazine will host its second domestic event of 2017 at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, California. On July 27-28, top migration agencies, immigration attorneys, EB-5 industry professionals, regional centers, and developers will comes together at the 2017 San Francisco EB-5 & Investment Immigration Convention.
The conference will feature educational panels moderated by EB-5 program experts, workshops for attorneys and regional centers, business exhibitions and special guest speeches–including a luncheon keynote speech from U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.
