On Wednesday, October 5th, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Deputy Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that he will be departing DHS effective October 28. In a press release, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson stated that Mayorkas’ “legacy as Deputy Secretary will be the number of things we did to improve how this Department functions, and the significant increase in employee satisfaction we saw this year as a result. We are all grateful for Ali’s many contributions.”
Mr. Mayorkas was previously Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which oversees the EB-5 Regional Center Program.
