Cooperation between trade groups promotes industry and professional development for investment migration and real estate professionals
On Aug. 3, Invest in the USA, the non-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program, and CCIM Institute, the premier provider of commercial real estate education, announced a new memorandum of understanding between the two organizations. The MOU details strategic collaboration initiatives that will enhance industry education and development.
“Given the importance of EB-5 as a source of capital for the commercial real estate industry, IIUSA and CCIM are natural allies,“ says IIUSA Executive Director Peter D. Joseph. “IIUSA is proud to collaborate with CCIM and look forward to bringing its range of exciting new resources and opportunities for professional development to our members, and vice versa.”
“Major capital funds are being invested in the U.S. through the EB-5 program, especially from Asia,” says 2016 CCIM Institute President Steve Moreira, CCIM. “There is a significant need for CCIMs to work with organizations that represent EB-5 regional centers, and we are proud to collaborate with IIUSA.”
CCIM Institute is the industry-leading provider of professional training for commercial real estate professionals. In addition, IIUSA and CCIM will endeavor to collaborate on training, articles, reports, and publications to further the growth and understanding of each other’s respective organizations within the general commercial real estate profession.
The agreement will be on full display at each organization’s respective annual conferences: IIUSA’s 6th Annual EB-5 Industry Forum, Oct. 10–11, in Los Angeles and the CCIM Thrive Conference, Oct. 24–25, in Atlanta.
