For the third year in a row, IIUSA is hosting its Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) in conjunction with its EB-5 Advocacy Conference that is fast approaching April 20-22. Among the most important agenda items to be covered at IIUSA’s 11th AGM is the election of officers and directors for seats on the Board of Directors. All three officer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer) as well as three directorships are up for election this year. Officers are elected for one-year terms while directors are elected for three-year terms. Now is the time to nominate an industry peer or colleague (or even yourself) by the March 4th deadline for consideration by the Nominations Committee.
Candidates will have the opportunity to address members during the AGM on Wednesday (4/20). Voting will be open through at least part of the next day (Thursday 4/21) before results are announced based on the elections process recommended to members by this year’s Nominations Committee. As always, any member may make nominations for any office and/or directorship from the floor at the annual meeting to contest existing candidates. We will be following Robert’s Rules of Order to conduct an orderly meeting.
