The IIUSA Bylaws Committee (the “Committee”) has been appointed by the President and, in the next few weeks will consider any and all recommendations presented to the Committee for amendments or changes to the existing IIUSA Bylaws last amended on April 13, 2015. Current IIUSA bylaws are available here.
The Bylaws Committee respectfully hereby presents every member of IIUSA the opportunity to recommend amendments to the IIUSA bylaws for consideration by the Bylaws Committee. A key goal of the organization is to increase all opportunities for all members to participate in IIUSA governance. The Bylaws Committee will consider all requests and act to prepare an amended set of bylaws for consideration by Membership, at its annual meeting on April 26, 2017 in Washington, DC.
As per the bylaws, the Bylaws Committee recommendation will be circulated to the members at least thirty (30) days in advance of the general membership meeting on April 26, 2017, and, after a full discussion and opportunity for debate at the annual meeting, the amendment will be considered. Adoption requires a 2/3 vote of approval, first by the entire membership, and next by a 2/3 vote of all EB-5 Regional Center members.
All IIUSA members are welcome to submit any bylaws amendment suggestions for consideration by the Committee. In order to be considered, all suggestions must be submitted via this online form.
It is a stated goal to increase membership involvement in IIUSA governance and leadership activities. All members are respectfully encouraged to submit any and all amendment recommendations by Friday, October 7, 2016 at 5:00 pm ET.
