Earlier this month, the Association to Invest In the USA (IIUSA) met with members of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). NASAA is made up of State Securities Regulators who provide invaluable services to investors around the country.
NASAA is responsible for, “licensing securities firms and investment professionals, such as broker-dealers and investment advisers, registering certain securities offerings, reviewing financial offerings of small companies, auditing branch office sales practices and record-keeping, promoting investor education, and most importantly, enforcing state securities laws. In addition to protecting investors, many state regulators also help small businesses raise money and comply with securities laws.”
Visit NASAA’s Investor Education page to brush up or begin your researching investment strategy and safety. NASAA’s Fraud Center provides links to Fraud Awareness Materials, Recent News and Information regarding investment fraud, and contact information for your State or Provincial Securities Regulator.
Understanding what investment is right for achieving your goals can be overwhelming. NASAA has provided users with resources designed specifically for different age groups and even certain professions. Advice has been divided and dedicated to specific groups including Educators, Military, Youth, Seniors, and Adults and Families.
IIUSA supports the dissemination of information relating to investor education and safety. Foreign investment in the domestic economy has propelled development initiatives across the country. IIUSA estimates the EB-5 Regional Center Program will create over 100,000 new U.S. jobs through investment losses of at least $10 Billion in foreign direct investment over the next five years.
