IIUSA has opened its upcoming “Annual Meeting and EB-5 Regional Center Advocacy Conference” up to nonmembers.  Come find out why you should BECOME A MEMBER by attending our annual conference for $500, which covers:

  • 5/10 Conference attendance, with: (1) access to various officials from federal agencies – i.e. Dept of Commerce, SEC, CIS Ombudsman, USCIS, w/ more in the works – and Congressional offices in attendance; (2) expert panels on subjects of high importance; (3) advocacy tools; AND (4) delicious food for all three meals of the day.

In April 2011, USCIS released 486 pages of materials used to train EB-5 adjudicators  They did so in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by panelist H. Ronald Klasko.  IIUSA is honored to host a panel of such prestigious immigration attorneys, who will discuss what you “need to know” from this massive release of new information.  USCIS Officials have also been invited to participate on the panel to provide their perspective on this new development in the EB-5 Program.

2011 Annual Membership Meeting

The Annual Membership Meeting will include elections of IIUSA Officers and two Directors, a vote to ratify the actions of the Board since the 2010 Annual Meeting, a vote on any bylaws changes recommended by the Bylaws Committee and/or Board of Directors, and the IIUSA Awards Ceremony.  A complete agenda will be circulated in advance of the meeting.  Members are welcome and encouraged to recommend agenda items.

IIUSA is pleased to host a panel of securities experts, including a representative from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)Office of Small Business Policy and a former Senior Associate Director at the SEC.  Recently the SEC has gotten directly involved in the investigation of securities related activities of Regional Centers.  Hosting this panel is part of IIUSA‘s constant effort to provide Members with information that is useful for their success in the Program.

That is the magic word in the EB-5 Regional Center Program.  Proper use of econometric methodologies that predict the job creating impact of the EB-5 investments is essential to fulfillment of the Program’s intent.
