2014 IIUSA Membership Meeting/DC Advocacy Conference is Quickly Approaching!

Last week, IIUSA finalized its annual Membership Meeting agenda, to be held May 7th from 3-6 pm EST. Please see below for the schedule. If you have yet to register for the conference, please do so here. Members $650/person, Nonmembers: 850/person.
Also, the last day to make your hotel room reservations at the IIUSA group rate is Tuesday April 1st. Book now.

Call for Nominations!

The 2014 Nominating Committee hereby calls for nominations for any of the open Officers and Directorships.  All three officers have one year terms, while directorships have three year terms.

This year, the following Officers/Directors are in positions that are up for election:

  • K. David Andersson, President (2010-current)Whatcom Opportunities Regional Center
  • Robert C. Divine, Vice President (2010-current)Baker Donelson Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC
  • Robert G. Honts, Secretary-Treasurer (2010-current) Texas Lone Star Enterprises
  • Patrick F. Hogan, Director (2010-current) CMB Regional Centers
  • Tom Rosenfeld, Director (2011-current) CanAm Enterprises

The Bylaws Committee is also recommending the addition of four additional voting Directorships for Regional Center members to be filled at the meeting in May.  This recommendation will be voted on at the Membership meeting, requiring at least 2/3 votes from all members and then another 2/3 or more vote by Regional Center members only.

The IIUSA Nominations Committee “shall consider and recommend one or more candidates qualified to serve in each Officer and Director position to be filled at the next annual meeting. The report and recommendations of the Nominating Committee shall be in writing and circulated to all members with the duly required notice for the annualmeeting at least two (2) weeks in advance of the applicable Annual Meeting.

IIUSA members may also make nominations (including self) from the floor of the annual meeting to contest any seat.

Interested in Serving on a Committee?

IIUSA has several standing committees and are always looking for volunteers.  Committee chairs are appointed after each annual meeting by the IIUSA President.
