From November 21-23, the Guangdong Exit/Entry Association hosted a global immigration conference giving Chinese investors and migration agents a chance to learn about various immigration programs and investment opportunities from around the world. IIUSA president David K. Andersson addressed the assemblage on the benefits of investing in the U.S. EB-5 Program while also discussing recent policy updates and ways in which investors can protect themselves by taking proper due diligence measures.President Andersson’s prominent role in the Guangdong Exit/Entry Association conference represents the tremendous strides IIUSA has taken to forge closer ties with our Chinese counterparts. In September, IIUSA led a trade mission to the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) and co-hosted, along with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) South China, the largest U.S. delegation in the event’s history. Like the CIFIT conference in Xiamen, President Andersson’s presence in Guangdong provides IIUSA another opportunity to build“guanxi”, or relationships, with many key figures from provincial level exit/entry associations from all over China. Building strong association-to-association partnerships within China help ensure that the EB-5 industry’s most vital marketplace continues its maturation and growth.
