IIUSA President David Andersson to Speak at AILA -Bangkok District APAC Chapter 5th Annual Consular Processing Conference

PrintThe American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Bangkok District Chapter APAC will host its 5th Annual Consular Processing Conference in Chennai, India February 28 through March 1, 2017.

The international conference will focus on the importance of effective advocacy in challenging high volume posts in Southeast Asia. Panel discussions will focus on key issues that U.S. attorneys face when dealing with U.S. visa cases based abroad. Highlights include legal options when a client’s business or employment-based visa is refused; including reasons for refusal; and how to get the consulate to approve a case when a waiver is not needed.

Participants we will have an opportunity for a unique and highly coveted visit to the U.S. Consulate in Chennai and/or a visit to the U.S. Embassy in Delhi, where U.S. officials will be onsite to handle our attendee’s requests and concerns. No case specific questions will be entertained. There will be panel discussions on Non Immigrant Visas (Updates from South Asia including B and F-1), the role of the USCIS Delhi, along with IV Issues and Fraud and various other key topics dealing with the complexities of U.S. immigration law.

IIUSA President, K. David Andersson, will speak at this year’s event on a panel covering EB-5 legislation, Chinese visa retrogression, currency exchange issues, processing times and current market trends.
