IIUSA Hosts Leadership Circle Fly-In to Advance EB-5 Advocacy on Capitol Hill

On May 19–20, IIUSA hosted it’s second advocacy fly-in of the year in Washington, DC. The two-day event – participation of which is a benefit made available only to IIUSA’s Leadership Circle members – included opportunities to meet directly with congressional offices to advocate for the EB-5 Regional Center Program, elevate the voice of the EB-5 industry, and reinforce IIUSA’s role as a trusted source for policymakers shaping the future of investment-based immigration.

Over the course of the two days, IIUSA members met with more than two dozen congressional offices, including key members of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. These offices are directly involved in immigration and economic policy, and IIUSA’s voice – amplified by its members – remains essential to ensuring that EB-5 is both understood and supported on both sides of the aisle.

“There is no substitute for sitting down face-to-face with congressional staff and elected officials to explain how the EB-5 program is delivering real results in their communities,” said Bill Gresser, President of EB-5 New York State and IIUSA. “These meetings are about building relationships, providing accurate information, and ensuring policymakers understand how the EB-5 program creates jobs, drives investment, and strengthens local economies – at no cost to taxpayers.”

For Clem Turner, Chief Legal Officer at PRXY Co., the experience was eye-opening.

“This was my first time participating in an IIUSA fly-in, and I was genuinely impressed by the depth of engagement we received from congressional staff,” said Turner. “It’s clear that IIUSA has earned a reputation on the Hill as a trusted advocate for the EB-5 industry.”

In addition to advocating for the EB-5 program’s continued integrity and impact, IIUSA’s message included forward-looking discussions on how EB-5 can complement President Trump’s Gold Card idea and support broader U.S. economic priorities.

Fly-ins like this are just one of many ways IIUSA is engaging with policymakers in Washington, DC. These in-person engagements help ensure that lawmakers hear directly from the people who know the program best—and who have a vested interest in its continued success.

We look forward to continuing to work with our partners to engage with policymakers in Washington to advocate for the EB-5 program and how it can fit into the Trump Administration’s plans for investment-based immigration.
