U.S. Department of State Issues March Visa Bulletin: Final Action Date for Mainland-China Remains Unchanged

02.13.18 | Archived

Earlier this week, U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Consular Affairs released the Visa Bulletin for the month of March 2018 (View PDF). The bulletin revealed a cutoff date of July 22, 2014 for Mainland-China born visa applicants which remained unchanged from the February bulletin.

Mainland Chinese investors who filed their I-526 petitions before July 22, 2014 will be eligible to schedule interviews with Department of State Consular offices and be issued conditional immigration visas to enter the U.S. or apply for adjustment of status if they are already in the U.S. Final action dates for other countries remain current, allowing qualified applicants from other parts of the world to move forward with obtaining their EB-5 visa.

The bulletin also notes that:

” Continued heavy applicant demand is expected to result in the Vietnam Employment Fifth preference category reaching the per-country annual limit during March. Once this happens the category will become subject to a final action date, and visa availability for the remainder of FY-2018 will be dependent upon the extent to which otherwise unused numbers are available. “
